“Now Putin can say to them ‘soon Trump will win and everything will be different.’
“Now the elites are waiting for the result of the US election. Putin is now ready to undertake any action because if Trump doesn’t win he will lose everything.”
Gallyamov’s comments come despite Putin recently stating he would prefer Biden to be US President after November’s election.
Asked who he would prefer to work with, Putin said: “Biden, he’s more experienced, more predictable, he’s a politician of the old formation.
“But we will work with any US leader whom the American people trust.”
Trump later hailed the comments as a “great compliment.”
The Mueller Report was an investigation that was carried out after the 2016 election to see if Russian interference had played a role.
The report stated that Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election occurred “in sweeping and systematic fashion” but “did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”
Gallyamov nonetheless believes that Russia will pull out all the stops to ensure Trump wins.
He said: “This intervention from Russian trolls on social media will come, exploiting Putin apologists and helping Trump to win by creating the feeling that everyone loves Trump.
“The same will be done in elections in Europe too. They will try to discredit anti-Putin politicians in European countries and promote the extreme right.”
