Russian troops went on an epic looting rampage in Kursk, stealing cars and trashing people’s homes in shameless acts of lawlessness.

The Kremlin has deployed around 50,000 soldiers to the border region with Ukraine, as the army tries to regain territory it lost in August.

However, the troops appear to have used their redeployment to enrich themselves at the expense of local residents.

Returning locals from the village of Korenevo have found their properties broken into and smashed up by Putin’s marauding soldiers.

Although Ukraine’s army came very close to the village during its incursion, they never entered or captured it.

The Russian army took up defensive positions there and evacuated most of the local people.

One resident filmed the aftermath in a shocking video, that showed the scale of the looting.

“Everything is turned inside out, thrown out,” he commented as he filmed.

“Cartridges are lying around… Some kind of military hat, camouflage jackets, gloves.

“The Russian army… Trash left after dry rations and pouches. In short, they ate, f***ed, and didn’t worry.

“TVs, computers, monitors, everything disappeared! Everything is upside down. The toilet is full of garbage. A window is broken. They ate, drank, and had a snack.”

As he left his home, the resident hung up a sign saying “Everything has been stolen” to stop further looting.

A woman from the Glushkovsky district told the independent Russian media channel TAKT that her house had also been robbed.

She said anything valuable, including cars and home appliances, had been stolen.

Remarkably, the woman later found her fridge for sale online. It was photographed standing in a field somewhere.

Alexey Smirnov, the Kursk region’s governor tried to deny that Russian soldiers had been responsible for the looting, blaming instead the Ukrainians.

His remarks, however, have infuriated residents, who have inundated local police officers with complaints and demands for a criminal investigation.
