Putin commander recalls 'tragedy' of warship sunk by Ukraine in frantic intercepted call

The maritime Magura V5 drones, unleashed by Ukrainian forces, dealt a fatal blow to the Russian Black Sea Fleet patrol ship Sergey Kotov in territorial waters near the Kerch Strait on March 5.

The relentless assault inflicted extensive damage upon the vessel’s stern, right, and left sides, with estimates pegging the cost of the sunken ship at approximately $65 million, as reported by HUR.

The destruction of the Sergey Kotov resulted in casualties and injuries among its crew but, there are indications that some crew members may have been evacuated, according to Andriy Yusov, a spokesperson for the Main Intelligence Directorate.
