Poor Bruno was saved from certain death with only seconds to spare, and now he desperately needs a second chance at life.
The two-month-old puppy, was rescued by a kind-hearted stranger who overheard the sound of his screams as a man tried to drown him in a bucket.
A harrowing statement from Miracle’s Mission, a rescue centre that saves unwanted and unloved animals, says: “Bruno was saved from being drowned by a man in a bucket.
“A rescuer nearby heard the screams and found the man submerging him in the water. She took Bruno from him in the moment but she cannot keep him at her home as she already is at capacity.”
The poor pooch, a crossbreed who will likely grow to be a similar size to a labrador, is currently in Egypt but is seeking a home in the UK through the animal charity.
A statement adds: “He is currently in Egypt and will not be able to travel for several months (so the super cute, small puppy phase will be over by the time he arrives)
“None the less he still needs and deserves a good home in the UK if anyone out there would like to adopt a young adolescent dog. He will be neutered before travel. He is cat tested and will be mixing with dogs regularly once he is vaccinated.
“Bruno is a typical outgoing and playful friendly puppy at the moment. We will update his profile regularly as he matures and keep any adopter updated with his pictures and videos while they wait for him to travel.”
Commenting on his rehoming post on Facebook, one user said: “What a horrible monster! Trying to drown a puppy honestly well done to the lady who took him away from a monster like that! Some people are really sick!”
Another user added: “I get upset with myself if I accidentally step on a bug. What kind of person are you to be able to hold down a screaming animal and watch it die.”
A third said: “Poor Bruno. What a terrible start. I hope he can find a forever home. Will keep hoping. My friends poodle was dumped in a rubbish bin as a puppy and will be 19 in Feb. He was lucky and hope Bruno will be too.”
While one more: “Oh dear Bruno, I’m so glad you were saved and I pray that you will have the most amazing life ahead of you like you deserve.”
A final person wrote: “How anybody can harm any animal is beyond me, there are some sick cruel people in this world.”
