PS Plus subscribers running out of time to nab one of the most addictive games ever

The next batch of PS Plus games are about to be released by Sony, which means you only have a few days left to pick up the current batch of titles.

And if you haven’t already, then you really should hurry, because the September PlayStation Plus Essentials include one of the most addictive ‘cozy’ games of all time.

Indeed, PS Plus subscribers have until October 7 to add the excellent Stardew Valley to their game library.

Stardew Valley is a charming game that tasks players with taking over the family farm.

You’ll typically start by tidying the land and clearing away the debris, before growing crops, rearing animals and looking for ways to turn a profit.

In addition to regular farming activities, you’ll also need to form relationships with your fellow villagers, attend town festivals, visit neighbouring areas, or simply spend the day fishing.

Players can head down the mines to find materials in order to upgrade tools, and restore the community centre for other rewards.

It’s actually rather surprising how much content is available in the game and how many hours you’ll spend discovering it all.

Indeed, despite launching all the way back in 2016, Stardew Valley continues to receive multiple updates, complete with new content.

This includes everything from new pets and farm types, to end-game skills, major annual events, new crops, activities and lots more.

The game is hugely popular among gamers, earning overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam.

It’s also worth noting that Stardew Valley takes advantage of the PS Plus online multiplayer function, letting you team up and play with friends.

In addition to Stardew Valley, the PS Plus September line-up includes the superb Psychonauts 2 and Viewfinder.

The games will be replaced by the high-profile trio of Alan Wake 2, Goat Simulator 3 and Cocoon.

“What starts as a small-town murder investigation becomes a living nightmare,” reads the Alan Wake 2 description.

“Play as both the returning Alan Wake and new hero Saga Anderson, witnessing the nightmare unfold from two perspectives – and two realities.

“Help Wake to rewrite his reality as he attempts to escape the Dark Place and enter Anderson’s brilliant mind as she races to solve the case.”
