PS Plus subscribers losing hundreds of hours of gaming this month

PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers will soon be treated to a selection of new PS4, PS5 and PlayStation classic games for February 2025.

The next wave of PlayStation Plus Extra games will be available to download and play on the morning of February 18.

Unfortunately, however, it’s not all good news, because multiple titles will be leaving the service on the same date.

In fact, PS Plus Extra subscribers are about to lose hundreds of hours of gaming in one fell swoop.

Titles leaving PS Plus in February include huge role-playing games such as the superb Tales of Arise and Outer Worlds Spacer’s Choice Edition.

Both of these games feature lengthy campaigns that will take over 100 hours to complete.

Other epic games leaving PS Plus Extra in February include Tales of Symphonia Remastered, Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition and Tales of Zestiria. That’s another couple of hundred hours, especially if you’re a completionist.

Then there’s Outriders, which despite a relatively manageable 20-hour campaign, contains a ton of endgame content that will keep players busy for hours on end.

Scarlet Nexus features a 25-hour campaign, while Bulletstorm Full Clip Edition is the shortest of the bunch with an 8-hour story.

Speaking of PlayStation Plus, Sony has just released the free Essential games for February.

Available until March 4, the line-up is headlined by multiplayer heist-em-up Payday 3.

Sony explains more: “Revel in the thrill of a perfectly planned and executed heist in this high-octane, co-op FPS experience for up to four players online.

“Step out of retirement back into the life of crime in the shoes of the Payday Gang, the envy of their peers and the nightmare of law-enforcement wherever they go.

“Several years after the crew’s reign of terror over Washington DC has ended, they assemble once again to deal with the threat that roused them out of early retirement.”

Payday 3 is joined by fellow shooter High on Life, as well as platformer remake Pac-Man World: Re-Pac.
