PS Plus Extra and Premium April 2025 line-up, release date and games leaving service

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers are counting down to the release of the new games for April 2025.

Consisting of various PS4, PS5 and classic PlayStation titles, the next wave of PS Plus Extra and Premium games have an April 15 release date.

The April 2025 Extra line-up is headlined by Harry Potter spinoff Hogwarts Legacy, which sees players enrol at the famous school for Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Set in the 1800s, players will need to attend classes, learn spells, create potions and forge friendships, all the while foiling a plot involving dark and ancient magic.

Hogwarts Legacy is one of the best-selling games of the decade, selling more than 30 million units since launching back in 2023. It was also well received by fans and critics, earning an 84% score on Metacritic, as well as a ‘Very Positive’ rating on Steam.

In addition to Hogwarts Legacy, PS Plus Extra subscribers will be able to download and play brand new release Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Tape 2, as well as EA Sports PGA Tour, Battlefield 1 and cookery title PlateUp!

It’s worth pointing out that Blue Prince is also available for PS Plus Extra subscribers, after launching on April 10.

Easily the highlight of the month, Blue Prince is a roguelike first-person game where the aim is to reach the mysterious 46th room of an ever-changing manor house that resets each day.

Players have the option to place a new room each time they reach a closed door, choosing one of three randomised room cards in their deck. Some rooms reward players with useful items, others provide information, and a few will negatively impact your ability to reach the goal – such as drafting dead end rooms with no doors.

Players will lose all of their items and progress at the end of each run, although solving puzzles and making discoveries can result in permanent upgrades that give you boosts at the start of each day.

It’s a really unique and interesting spin on the roguelike genre, so make sure you check it out.

PS Plus Premium subscribers will be able to download and play a small selection of classic games from the PSOne and PS2 era.

This includes survival horror classic Alone in the Dark 2, as well as fighting game War of the Monsters.

Unfortunately, however, it’s not all good news, because a selection of games will be leaving the service on April 15.

This includes modern-day classics such as Slay the Spire, Disco Elysium The Final Cut and Animal Well.

That’s on top of Tales of Kenzera Zau, Nour: Play With Your Food, Deliver Us Mars, Miasma Chronicles, Stray Blade and Kena Bridge of Spirits.
