The next wave of PlayStation Plus Essentials are about to be unveiled by Sony. Consisting of three PS4 and PS5 games, the April 2025 PS Plus line-up will be officially unveiled at 3.30pm GMT on the afternoon of March 26. The games will be available to download and play from April 1.
Daily Express will update this article once the April 2025 PS Plus games are announced, so keep checking back for the latest information. The new PS Plus releases will replace the current line-up, which is headlined by the BioWare role-playing game Dragon Age The Veilguard. If you haven’t already, make sure you add the existing PS Plus games to your library, or risk missing out.
Dragon Age The Veilguard was something of a surprise addition when it joined PS Plus in March, especially considering the game only launched back in October.
The latest entry in the Dragon Age series features many of the usual BioWare gameplay tropes, including a branching narrative, dialogue choices and multiple characters to recruit. It takes place in the fantasy land of Thedas, where ancient gods are causing chaos.
Sony explains more: “Unite the Veilguard and defy the gods in this immersive single-player RPG where you become the leader others believe in.
“Rise as Rook, Dragon Age’s newest hero. Be who you want to be and play how you want to play as you fight back and lead your team of seven companions, each with their own rich story. Together you will become The Veilguard.”
In addition to Dragon Age The Veilguard, the March line-up also includes SEGA platforming game Sonic Colours and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection.
The TMNT Collection contains 13 classic games from the late 80s and early 1990s. This includes arcade favourite Turtles in Time, as well as console releases such as Hyperstone Heist and The Manhattan Project.
As for the April 2025 PS Plus Essentials, fans have been attempting to predict the line-up ahead of the big reveal.
In the regular monthly predictions thread on Reddit, multiple fans believe 2D shooter Cuphead will join the PS Plus Essentials.
There are also picks for Need for Speed Unbound, Atomic Heart, Lords of the Fallen, Robocop and Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, as well as Lord of the Rings Return to Moria, Pacific Drive, F1 Manager 2024, NBA 2K25, EA Sports FC 25 and Stray.
First-party predictions include Death Stranding and Gran Turismo 7. The former seems more likely, especially with the sequel launching this summer.
