Sony is just a few days away from announcing the PlayStation Plus Extra line-up for April 2025. The next batch of PS Plus Extra games will be unveiled on the afternoon of April 9. Most of the games will be available to download and play on April 15, although the brand new release Blue Prince will join the service on April 10.
The line-up will consist of a selection of PS4 and PS5 games, as well as a handful of retro games for PS Plus Premium subscribers. Without any leaks to go on, some fans have been attempting to predict the line-up ahead of the official reveal by Sony later this week.
As you can see from the regular predictions thread over on Reddit, some PS Plus Extra subscribers are convinced that The Last of Us Part 2 will finally join the line-up in April.
Out of all of the games mentioned in the predictions thread, The Last of Us Part 2 makes the most logical sense, especially with the HBO television show about to enter its second season on April 13.
Making the game available on PS Plus Extra would be a great way to promote the TV show, unless Sony wants to avoid potential spoilers.
Other high profile predictions include Final Fantasy 16, as well as Resident Evil 4 Remake, Resident Evil Village, Lies of P, Hogwarts Legacy, Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin, Mortal Kombat 1 and Elden Ring.
Star Wars Outlaws also gets a mention in the PS Plus Extra predictions thread, alongside fellow Ubisoft titles such as Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Avatar Frontiers of Pandora and The Crew Motorfest. All of these games feel like solid choices, so don’t be surprised to see them in the coming months.
Speaking of solid choices, there are predictions for the likes of Terminator Resistance, Cocoon, Hades, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, MLB The Show 2025 and Atomic Heart.
That’s on top of LEGO Bricktales, Wizard With a Gun, Harold Halibut, Banishers Ghosts of New Eden, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, Another Crab’s Treasure, Pacific Drive, Still Wakes the Deep and Hi-Fi Rush.
Elsewhere, games like Planet Zoo, Chants of Sennaar, Wrestlequest, Cuphead, Lords of the Fallen, Blasphemous 2, No Man’s Sky, Alone in the Dark, Layers of Fear and The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria are also mentioned.
Sports games like EA Sports College Football 25, EA Sports FC 25, NBA 2K25 and EA NHL 25 are all predicted, which would help give them all a boost.
Then there are the occasional picks for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Jusant, Viewfinder, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake, Scorn and The Casting of Frank Stone.
If The Last of Us Part 2 doesn’t make the cut, then perhaps fellow Sony first-party game Gran Turismo 7 could make an appearance. We’ll find out for sure on the afternoon of April 9.
It’s worth noting that Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Tape 2 will join Blue Prince as part of the PS Plus Extra line-up in April.
