Princess Kate shared a special insight into her role as a mother and it’s one that many other parents will agree with. She first became a mother in July 2013 when her first son, Prince George was born. Princess Charlotte was born next in 2015 and was followed by Prince Louis in 2018 making Kate a mum to three royal children.

While delivering a speech at a charity event back in 2017, she made the very relatable comment, saying: “Nothing can really prepare you for the sheer overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother. It is full of complex emotions of joy, exhaustion, love and worry, all mixed together.”

This reportedly isn’t the only time Princess Kate has opened up about her thoughts on motherhood.

She allegedly opened up in a chat with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s mouthpiece Omid Scobie about how hard parenting little ones can be.

He wrote about an interaction with her in his book Endgame. Scobie wrote: “I remember having a similar conversation with Kate at a Kensington Palace media reception after the birth of Princess Charlotte in 2015, one in which she spoke about the challenges of parenting.

“I look at my friends and think they have it all figured it out . . . while I’m just making it up as I go along,” she said with a laugh.

“I always thought this more frank, real side of the sometimes Stepford-like royal wife was something that others should see more of.”

Princess Kate’s son Prince George is second in line to the British throne after his father, Prince William.

It has been reported that Prince William and Princess Kate did not tell Prince George about what lies ahead in his future until 2020.

The couple reportedly wanted him to have a normal childhood and had made the decision to keep his destiny a secret until he had grown up a little bit more.

It wasn’t until the young prince was seven-years-old that his parents went into more detail about his future.

Writing in the biography Battle of Brothers, royal expert and historian Robert Lacey explained: “William has not revealed to the world how and when he broke the big news to his son [George]. Maybe one day George will tell us the story himself.”

The royal historian added: “But sometime around the boy’s seventh birthday in the summer of 2020, it is thought that his parents went into more detail about what the little prince’s life of future royal ‘service and duty’ would particularly involve.”
