Princess Kate previously had a confident response after one of her friends told her that she is “lucky” to have Prince William. The couple, who tied the knot in 2011, began dating after meeting during their studies at the University of St Andrews in Scotland.
Despite dating the future monarch, Kate, 43, has also remained modest and confident in herself. According to Claudia Joseph, author of Kate Middleton: Princess in Waiting, Kate replied: “He’s lucky to have me”, after being told that she “lucky” to have her husband.
Prince William has since shown how devoted he is to his wife, even referring to her as “incredible” in a post published on her 43rd birthday back in January.
The post, which came shortly after confirming that she was in remission after her cancer diagnosis early last year, William wrote: “To the most incredible wife and mother. The strength you’ve shown over the last year has been remarkable.
“George, Charlotte, Louis and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you. W.”
On Valentine’s Day, the couple shared a sweet loved-up picture of themselves sitting on a picnic blanket in a woodland area.
William, who will turn 43 later this month, can be seen kissing his wife’s cheek and Kate beaming and holding his hands.
The couple got engaged in 2010, before tying the knot in London the following year.
Kate and William, who have lived in Windsor since 2022, welcomed their first child, Prince George, in July 2013.
They later welcomed a daughter, Princess Charlotte, in 2015 and a second son, Prince Louis, in 2018.
