Princess Kate's 10-word reveal about daughter Charlotte shows just how talented she is

Kate, Princess of Wales, and Prince William have been very careful in protecting the privacy of their three children since the birth of their first son in 2013. While the Prince and Princess of Wales are making sure their sons and daughter have a childhood as normal as possible despite their future role in society, they remain doting parents keen to provide glimpses about Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis’s prowess.

At times, both Kate and William have opened up about their children while carrying out public duties and paying visits to charities and cities. During the Wales’ official visit to Ireland in February 2020, Princess Kate expressed with no uncertain terms what a talented and passionate gymnast her daughter Charlotte is.

She said: “Charlotte is really into gymnastics, she’s doing cartwheels, handstands, everything.”

Kate, who has long been championing the benefits sports and fresh air have on mental and physical health, added: “It’s so good for their basic skills of balance and coordination.”

The Prince of Wales also chimed in the conversation to express his views on gymnastics, as he said: “And their flexibility, it’s really good for their long-term health, isn’t it? We went to watch the Cirque du Soleil recently, it was amazing.”

Gymnastics is only one of the hobbies Charlotte has embraced over the years.

Much like her late grandmother Princess Diana, young Charlotte “absolutely loves” dancing, Kate confessed during a conversation with English National Ballet director Tamara Rojo.

The heir to the throne also spoke about Charlotte’s dancing during a special episode of the Apple Fitness + podcast Time to Walk.
During an adorable confession about his day-to-day life, Prince William said: “One of the songs that the children are loving at the moment is Shakira, Waka Waka.

“There are a lot of hip movements! There’s a lot of dressing up.

“Charlotte, particularly, is running around the kitchen in her dresses and ballet stuff and everything. She goes completely crazy with Louis following her around trying to do the same thing. It’s a really happy moment where the children just enjoy dancing, messing around, and, and singing.”

During an event for BBC Radio 1’s Teen Awards, Prince William had previously shared that his firstborn and heir Prince George also “loves” to dance.

He said: “George is doing dancing as well, he loves it. My mother used to dance, she loved dancing. If it’s something you love, you do what you love. And it’s very rewarding. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. You keep at it.”
