The Princess of Wales has been spotted touring two exclusive private schools in London as a potential next stop for her eldest son, Prince George.

The 11-year-old is currently at Lambrook School in Berkshire – which is also attended by his younger sister and brother, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.

Lambrook School hosts students aged between three and 13. The age bracket means that George – who was born on July 22, 2013 – will have to move to another school after July 2026.

According to the Daily Mail, Princess Kate, who is now in remission from cancer, was seen at £10,000-a-term University College School (UCS) in Hampstead just after it closed for the Christmas break.

The same week, Highgate School – which is located just two miles away from UCS – was also closed for a ‘special VIP visitor’. This is thought to have been the Princess of Wales.

Preparing for her son to leave Lambrook School in 18 months time, Kate is also keen for George to attend her former school, Marlborough College in Wiltshire.

Although it is thought both the Prince and Princess of Wales are keen to explore other options, Kate is said to wish for all three of her children to attend the same school.

With this is mind, Marlborough, which is a £59,000-a-year a co-educational boarding school, could take all three siblings.

Although Eton College, which was previously attended by Prince William and Prince Harry, was thought to have been the most obvious option, George is said to have already been offered a place and a house at Marlborough.

The co-educational boarding school is also thought to hold the spot as the best option for security.

Despite a school in North London having been deemed as an “unexpected choice” for the young royal, one source has spoken about Kate’s likely wishes over the school choice for her eldest son.

The source said: “With the year Catherine has had, she may well have thought to herself that she wants to soak up every drop of George’s childhood and tuck him into bed herself each night.”
