Princess Kate on the verge of making a big decision that will shape George's future

Princess Kate is faced with a big decision, as where to send Prince George to school. It’s being reported that it’s been narrowed down to two establishments.

The decision is between Marlborough College and Eton College, where Kate and Prince William studied, respectively.

The Royally Obsessed co-hosts discussed the school debate on this week’s episode with Rachel Bowie saying her high of the week “is all the speculation that has been kind of running rapid that Kate might choose her own alma mater.”

She adds: “I feel like this is really exciting, and the reason it’s a high for me is that I feel like it’s another example of the royals charting their own path.”

Rachel refers to Princess Diana’s decision to send William and Harry to Eton versus Gordonstoun, saying, “Now Kate is choosing something much more progressive as well.”

She points out the differences between the schools: “The big deal is that it’s co-ed, and with the kids currently at Lambrook, the education is co-ed, and they’re there until they are thirteen.”

Rachel believes Kate would like to continue with the co-ed education through secondary school.

She gives Kate credit for “laying that stake in the ground,” and making a choice and sticking to it, saying, “I hope it happens, I really do, I like that conviction there.”

Typically, the decision is made at the end of the school year, with Rachel going over the timeline: “I’m excited. We have a little bit to wait, but I know that she’s in that decision-making process.”

Marlborugh is an hour drive from Windsor, where the Waleses live, and Eton is just 7 minutes away, so, the tides could turn.
