Princess Kate had 'wonderful' Mother's Day despite Photoshop controversy, insider says

Princess Kate still enjoyed a lovely Mother’s Day with her family despite photo controversy, a source revealed.

The Princess of Wales posed for a photo with her children, captured by her husband, Prince William, to celebrate Mother’s Day.

This image was the first official picture of Princess Kate since she underwent abdominal surgery in January.

According to a source close to the family, the Prince and Princess of Wales aimed to provide an informal snapshot of the family together for Mother’s Day.

Although Princess Kate, 42, made what the source described as only “minor adjustments” to the “amateur, family photograph taken by the Prince of Wales,” this later led to an apology from her for editing the photo.

Observant royal fans noted inconsistencies with the alignment of Princess Charlotte’s left hand, Prince Louis’ sweater pattern, and blurring around Princess Kate’s hair.

Global photo agencies, including the Associated Press, Getty Images, Reuters, the AFP, and most recently, PA, withdrew the picture from their press libraries due to concerns about photo manipulation.

The Associated Press issued a “kill notification” for anyone using the photo, stating in an alert to journalists that upon closer inspection, it appeared the source had manipulated the image, and no replacement photo would be provided.
