Princess Kate and Prince William’s secret names they use to go unnoticed revealed

The Prince and Princess of Wales used secret names when they first started getting serious.

Prince William is thought to have been wary of ending up on the front page alongside his new beau, the Mirror reports.

Together, William and Kate plotted to use secret aliases when they snuck away on romantic getaways, according to two royal authors.

Author Andrew Morton first detailed the couple’s use of pseudonyms in his 2011 book, William and Catherine.

He revealed that following the couple’s brief break in their relationship in 2007, they snuck away to the Seychelles for a romantic break and reconciliation.

The royal expert wrote: “Kate and William, under the assumed names of Martin and Rose Middleton, bid farewell to the paradise island of Desroches in the Outer Seychelles where they had spent a sublime week renewing their love affair.”

Mr Morton said that the couple needed privacy “during a period of their relationship when things had been a little bit rockier”.

Marcia Moody, in her 2013 book ‘Kate,’ also discussed the couple’s use of secret names during a trip to the Seychelles, when the couple reportedly agreed to wed in the future.

She wrote: “They stayed in the Desroches Island Resort, checking in under the names Martin and Rosemary Middleton, and went kayaking and snorkelling in the shallow coral reef.

“It was during this break that they made an agreement with each other.

“For the next few years, they would work and enjoy their lives, knowing that at some point when the time was right, they would be husband and wife.”

This comes as the couple prepares for their first overseas trip of 2024.

The trip, which will take place next month, will see the Prince and Princess of Wales meet British armed service personnel.

The destination of the trip remains unknown due to “security reasons.”
