Princess Kate and Prince William's pals reveal exactly why they don't want Harry to visit

Friends of the Prince and Princess of Wales have revealed the real reason that the royal couple don’t want a visit from Prince Harry, following Princess Kate’s cancer diagnosis.

Speaking to the Daily Beast, friends of the royal couple said that the pair feel that any drop-in from the Duke of Sussex would bring with it unwanted “drama”.

Given 42-year-old Kate’s bombshell cancer revelations, the Wales’s are keen to have some privacy and protect their children.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are based in California, were not given prior notice of the news before Kate’s address was made public.

One friend of William and Kate’s told the Daily Beast: “Catherine and William have been very clear they want peace and quiet for them and the kids. A visit from Harry, with all the drama that would bring, would be the opposite of that.”

Another friend added: “They have come to terms with the estrangement from Harry, and are content to let sleeping dogs lie.”

Asked if they had replied to the private correspondence from Harry and Meghan, reported by the Telegraph, or if William wanted his brother to apologise for the attacks launched against him and his wife, the second friend said: “They have bigger things to worry about.”

Prince Harry is poised to come back to the UK soon, but there are no plans for him to meet up with Kate and William.

The 39-year-old Montecito-based prince is due back in London to mark the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games in May.

After losing his legal fight for special police protection in the UK, it appears highly unlikely that he will bring Meghan or the children with him.

Sources close to the Prince and Princess of Wales have made clear that the “Harry problem” is the last thing on their minds as they now have much bigger concerns requiring their full attention.

Meanwhile, another source told the publication last weekend that William “has always done all he can to protect his family”, with insiders dismissing any suggestions the heir to the throne and his family would be willing to find the mental capacity to face the estranged duke.
