Princess Diana’s niece, Lady Kitty Spencer, has welcomed her first child.
Lady Kitty, 33, who is the daughter of Earl Charles Spencer (Diana’s brother), shared the happy news on social media. It was Mother’s Day when she posted a lovely photo on the beach with her new baby.
Her message was really sweet: “It’s the joy of my life to be your mummy, little one. I love you unconditionally. Happy Mother’s Day to those who celebrate today.”
In the picture, we can see her in a white swimsuit looking away from the camera, but we can’t see the baby’s face.
It is not clear if the baby is a boy or a girl, or what name Kitty or her husband Michael Lewis, 65, have chosen.
People are sending lots of love and congratulations to Lady Kitty online. Her sister Amelia Spencer said the baby is “the most perfect angel in the world.”
Her brother Samuel Aitken commented with a heart emoji, and her friend Emma Weymouth sent lots of emojis with hearts for eyes. Lady Kitty is Prince William and Prince Harry’s cousin, so her baby is their second cousin.
This means the little one is related to Prince George, Louis, Archie, Princess Charlotte, and Lilibet too.
Kitty has been a big name in the royal social circles for ages but chose to take time off to do different things. She’s now a model for Dolce and Gabbana and tied the knot with multi-millionaire Michael three years ago.
They celebrated their big day at the lavish Villa Aldobrandini in Frascati, Italy, which looks over Rome, in July 2021. They had to wait two extra years to get married because of COVID-19, but when they did, it was a massive three-day party.
Famous faces like singer Pixie Lott and the Marchioness of Bath were there to celebrate. But people noticed that Kitty’s dad, Earl Charles, wasn’t there.
Back then, someone told MailOnline it probably wasn’t because of the Earl’s health. They shared: “The four children are all close to their mother Victoria and get on well with their step-siblings, and their Spencer aunts and have forged their own relationships with one another without needing Charles to bind them together.”
Lady Kitty Spencer was escorted down the aisle by her brother Louis, Viscount Althorp, and her half-brother Samuel Aitken, whose dad is South African tycoon Jonathan Aitken. Her twin sisters, Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer, both 31, were there too.
Lady Kitty dazzled in five different dresses by Dolce and Gabbana over the weekend.
