Princess Charlotte showed her “growing empathy and kindness” last week as she took to the Royal Box at Wimbledon, an expert has said. The young princess, 10, was all smiles on Sunday as she accompanied her parents Prince William and Princess Kate, along with her older brother Prince George, to the men’s final.
Despite the heatwave that was ongoing at the time, Charlotte looked cool and collected throughout the tennis match. Sporting a pair of sunglasses and a Wimbledon fan, the young royal also seemed able to keep herself as cool as possible.
However, as well as caring for herself, one early years specialist saw Charlotte carrying out one subtle gesture that showed she was also wanting to take care of her mum Princess Kate in the heat.
In a sweet moment witnessed last Sunday, Charlotte could be seen using her fan to keep her mum cool, earning herself an adoring smile from Kate, 43.
As reported by GB News, early years specialist Sophie David said the moment showed how mature Charlotte is, and how she has a strong bond with her mum Kate.
She told Hello! magazine: “Princess Charlotte fanning her mum at Wimbledon is such a lovely glimpse of her growing empathy and kindness.
“Especially after Kate’s recent illness (her cancer), it shows how children often pick up on how their parents are feeling and love to care for them in small but meaningful ways.”
The expert continued:”It’s a beautiful reminder of the strong bond they share and how children have an intrinsic desire to show their love and care for those closest to them.”
Princess Charlotte’s kind gesture was not the only part of her Wimbledon appearance that caught the attention of royal fans, with many also noticing just how grown-up she seems to be.
This was noted by royal fans online after they saw Charlotte shake hands with King Felipe VI of Spain, with many stating just how much of a great working royal she will be in the future.
This is the third year Charlotte has attended Wimbledon.
