Princess Charlene has given a rare insight into her children’s upbringing.
Speaking of her nine-year-old twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella – whom she shares with Prince Albert – Princess Charlene revealed some difficulties in raising the children.
Describing her twins as “curious”, Charlene added that Gabriella has a tendency to question the world around her.
She said: “Gabriella is very curious. She is very intrigued by the world and life in general. She asks lots of questions and demands a lot of attention.
“As for Jacques, he is curious and observant. [He is] more reserved, he is naturally very calm.”
Speaking to PEOPLE magazine, Charlene did confess one difficult thing about bringing up twins – she struggles to spend one-on-one time with them.
She told the publication: “[It is] difficult to find time to spend one-on-one time with them.
“The conversations I have with Jacques and those with Gabriella are so different, as well as the time spent with them.”
Being a mother of twins, she said, makes it a little different to bringing up brothers and sisters born years apart.
She described that finding time to speak alone with each child is “essential when you are the parents of twins.”
Princess Charlene gave birth to the twins in December 2014.
Last year, to celebrate their ninth birthday, the royals released a photo of the twins taken the month prior on Monaco’s National Day.
