Princess Beatrice has discussed the importance of “coming together” and “building trust” online during her latest appearance in London. The royal, 36, spoke with Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales during the event held at London’s Olympia.
Beatrice, who is mum to two daughters aged three and five months, said: “Really what we need is more community online.”
The Wikimedia Foundation recorded the discussion, with Beatrice adding: “Spaces for people to come together and discuss and arrive at content decisions and platform rules that feel right to them.”
The royal then added: “That’s also how you build trust among people.”
Beatrice’s appearance comes just days after she failed to appear at this year’s Trooping the Colour.
The event, which is held every June, is one of the biggest events in the royal calendar – with the royals coming out to mark King Charles’s official birthday.
As well as Beatrice, the event was also not attended by her sister Princess Eugenie.
Beatrice has, however, attended the first day of Royal Ascot at the Ascot Racecourse earlier today.
Joining the King and Queen, Beatrice stepped out alongside her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, as well as her cousin Zara Tindall and aunt Princess Anne.
