Christmas is only around the corner, which means it’s not long until King Charles and Queen Camilla will be heading to Sandringham in Norfolk for their traditional royal Christmas gathering.

The final guest list of royals who will be attending is yet to be confirmed. However, in light of their attendance in previous years, we could expect to see one of the King’s nieces, Princess Beatrice, her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and their two-year-old daughter Sienna.

Following the couple’s intimate wedding in July 2020, Edoardo has attended a few official royal events.

However, several months before the nuptials, he also attended The Firm’s Christmas celebration in Norfolk, in a major break of royal tradition.

To be invited to the private celebration at Sandringham, you must be a member of The Firm or have married into the Royal Family.

However, in 2019 Edoardo was given the opportunity to join the rest of the royals at Christmas.

He wasn’t the only one who got the privilege to do so. In fact, the tradition was also overlooked back in 2017 when Prince Harry was joined by Meghan Markle, his wife-to-be at the time, in Sandringham.

The pair married four months later in Windsor.

Meghan joined the Royal family for their three-day Christmas celebrations. In contrast, other members, such as Princess Kate and Mike Tindall, had to wait until they were married to their respective spouses, Prince William and Zara Tindall.

This year, the guestlist to the royal celebration could be even bigger, if Queen Camilla’s family members are invited to Sandringham. Camilla has two children, Tom and Laura, from her first marriage to Andrew Parker Bowles. Thanks to them, she became the doting grandmother to five grandchildren – Lola, Freddie, Eliza, Gus and Louis.

The Queen’s children and grandchildren, along with her sister Annabel, have been tipped to join the Firm this Christmas.
