Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have broken their cover after attending King Charles’s Christmas lunch – as their father Prince Andrew was forced to pull out of yet another royal event.
Beatrice, 36, sat in the passenger seat while husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi drove them to the party. Much like her sister, Eugenie, 34, was also seen in a separate car with her husband Jack Brooksbank.
The sisters’ joint appearance comes after their father made the decision to skip the traditional bash due to the alleged Chinese spy scandal.
According to a source, the Duke of York made the decision to pull out of the event after reportedly speaking to his former wife and friend, Sarah Ferguson.
Andrew, 64, has also made the decision to skip this year’s festive celebrations at the Sandringham estate next week.
As well as their father, Eugenie and Beatrice will also reportedly skip the celebrations in Norfolk – and will spend the holiday with their husbands’ families.
For today’s festive lunch, the King was also joined by Queen Camilla and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. The Duke of Kent and his family were also seen in attendance, as well as the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.
The Prince and Princess of Wales and their children were not in attendance at today’s event.
The family are in Norfolk ahead of celebrations at Sandringham next week – and it is understood they always planned to be.
