Prince William has left royal fans in hysterics as a video on social media shows him giving a student the very best excuse for being late to a lesson.
In a video shared on TikTok by the student, who is studying at Ulster University in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where Prince William visited on Thursday, the future King can be heard excusing the student for being late to a lecture.
The Prince of Wales, 42, was asked by the student to address the video to a lecturer called Lesley and to explain why they were late.
Prince William could then be heard saying: “Are you recording? Lesley I’m very sorry we’re late but they seem to be caught up and they wouldn’t believe that you were here. So just say hi.”
The video has been widely shared on social media and sent royal fans in hysterics, including the lecturer herself who wrote online: “Best excuse ever, a royal pardon.”
The student shared the video on TikTok and was met with loads of comments from royal fans.
In the comments, she went on to say that her interaction with the prince “fully changed” her perspective on royalty.
She wrote: “He’s so so nice. He gives off such good vibes.”
Other royal fans have been quick to praise the future King for the video. One wrote on TikTok: “Amazing that’s the future King, so down to earth.”
