Prince Louis stole the show today when the Royal Family appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch a Red Arrows flypast. As the royals gathered to watch jets fly over the palace to conclude the Trooping the Colour celebrations, a confident Louis, seven, made sure to get a spot front and centre.
Standing between his grandfather King Charles and his dad Prince William, Louis looked delighted as he spent time waving to the crowds lining The Mall below. He was also seen conversing with his family during the flypast, sweetly turning round to speak to his father.
However, it was one sweet moment that took place just moments before the Royal Family left the balcony and returned inside the Palace that caught the attention of royal fans.
After the national anthem played, King Charles and the rest of the senior royals could be seen waving to the crowds.
Louis, who was previously standing staring into the distance, then turned to look at his grandfather, who was waving enthusiastically.
The sweet young prince then copied this gesture, waving to the crowds below in the same manner as his grandfather, who he is believed to share a close bond with.
Royal fans have been quick to point out this sweet moment on X.
One fan wrote: “There’s a lovely bond between Prince Louis and the King.”
Another said: “Look how he copies his Grandpa. On the job training.”
Louis also delighted royal fans by waving a number of other times on the balcony, receiving huge cheers from the crowd.
He even turned around for a final wave as he was going back into the Palace.
