Prince Louis, six, couldn’t contain his excitement as he accepted boxes of Cadbury chocolates and stuffed animals from royal fans gathered at Sandringham on Christmas morning.
On Wednesday, the young royal attended the special Christmas Day service at St Mary Magdalene Church on the Norfolk estate with his parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and siblings, Prince George, 11 and Princess Charlotte, nine.
Following the service, senior members of the Royal Family, including King Charles and Queen Camilla, greeted well-wishers – some of whom had gathered outside the church since the previous evening – bearing gifts.
Prince Louis appeared delighted with the presents he received from the public, which included a box of Cadbury’s chocolates, Christmas crackers, bouquets of flowers, and an array of stuffed toys.
In one snap taken after the service, the young royal could be seen grinning from ear to ear as he carried in his arms his gifts.
During their walk to the church ahead of the walkabout, Prince George, 11, strode confidently ahead of his siblings, while his younger brother, Prince Louis, clung tightly to Kate’s hand.
George, who is set to start secondary school next year, mirrored his father, Prince William, in a navy coat and trousers.
His younger sister, Princess Charlotte, donned a dark green coat that closely resembled Kate’s Alexander McQueen design.
Both Charlotte and George graciously accepted gifts from the crowd, waving warmly as they stood alongside their father, Prince William.
Princess Kate, Prince William and their children were not the only royals accompanying Queen Camilla and King Charles during the traditional walkabout.
Other royals who attended the Christmas Day service included Princess Beatrice, along with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and stepson Christopher ‘Wolfie’ Woolf.
Princess Anne, who donned a red coat and wide-brimmed hat, was also in attendance, as were Prince Edward, Duchess Sophie and their children Lady Louise and James, Earl Wessex.
Notably absent, on the other hand, were Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew, who were photographed driving in Windsor this afternoon.
