Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have hit headlines again this week after their latest Netflix series Polo was released on Tuesday.

The new five-part docuseries follows the lives of elite Polo players in America, giving viewers a more detailed behind-the-scenes glimpse at the sport.

While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, 40 and 43, are named as the executive producers of the new series, they feature in it very little, with their only main scenes being in the fifth and final episode filmed at The Royal Salute Polo Challenge in Florida earlier this year.

The scenes include a sweet moment when the duke introduces Meghan to Argentinian polo legend Alfonso Cambiaso, who speaks to her in Spanish, and when Harry is awarded a trophy from his proud wife as they kiss quickly.

Another scene shows Harry scoring a goal as his wife applauds him from the sidelines. Although their screen time is just a few minutes, a body language expert has noted that Prince Harry makes a key gesture in the series as he allows Meghan Markle to take the lead.

According to The Mirror, body language expert Judi James said Meghan is the star of the show in the series despite the fact the duke is actually playing the sport.

She exclusively told The Mirror: “Harry is really only a vector in their appearances, stepping back like a producer with a budding starlet to allow Meghan to be admired and to register a very regal-looking set of status signals.

“She is seen as the super-WAG who cuts through all the macho peacocking to make the player she meets bend and giggle in awe and respect. Harry watches her proudly, also chuckling at one point and only really stepping into the frame when his wife extends a hand and invites him into the convo.”

Judi also noted how the scenes showing Harry and Meghan together show their “fun side” and “shared humour”.

She said: “They do a couple of bits of body language ‘banter’ with some pointing and some coy, flirty, shoulder-shrugging responses that make their fun side look well in tune.”

The series was released on Netflix on December 10, just weeks after launching the trailer.

It is the couple’s latest Netflix project. Meghan is expected to have a new show aired within the next few months centred on her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

The Royal Family were not mentioned in the new documentary, which one expert said was a “snub” as the royals have a long history with the sport.
