Prince Harry’s former girlfriend has been arrested for leaving a hotel in Majorca without paying a bill. Reality TV star Catherine Ommanney, 53, was reportedly arrested on Sunday on suspicion of fraud after a hotel manager at the Playas del Rey Hotel in Santa Ponsa claimed she had not settled her €500 (£434) bill for a nine-day stay.
Catherine, who had a fling with Prince Harry in 2006 after the pair met at a bar, reportedly appeared before a judge yesterday evening in Palma and was released on bail pending an ongoing investigation. The story appeared in the Spanish newspaper Ultima Hora, which reported how the interior designer allegedly reserved her hotel stay using a card “with no funds” on it.
It is not known what Catherine said in court about the incident; however, she was spotted on Sunday heading to the private court hearing. She has not since made any comment, according to The Mirror.
While she was never in an actual relationship with Harry, it is believed they enjoyed a brief fling when the prince was 21, and she was 34.
Catherine spoke about this in November 2022, describing her relationship with the duke as a two-month fling.
She told The Sun on Sunday that Harry “was very sure of himself” and was a “great kisser”.
