Prince Harry set for ‘full image reset’ after ‘success’ of UK trip | Royal | News

Prince Harry has now returned back home to his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, but his recent visit to the UK left a very positive mark, the Daily Express is told. The Duke of Sussex spent four days in his home country, attending various engagements linked to his charities and patronages, in what has been dubbed a “hugely successful” trip.

Some of the highlights of the royal’s visit included meeting with his father, King Charles, for the first time in 19 months and the announcement of a personal donation of £1.1million to BBC Children in Need. Harry also announnced another £369,000 donation, through his and Meghan Markle’s charitable organisation, Archewell, to projects supporting injured children from Gaza and Ukraine.

Now, a PR expert has analysed Harry’s return to Britain and claimed he is set for a “full image reset” after hailing his recent trip as the perfect blueprint for the future.

Renae Smith, Renae Smith, founder of PR agency The Atticism, told the Express: “I’d call this visit a real success for Harry. If Prince William had done the exact same schedule, it would have been hailed as a great royal day out, so credit is due here too.

“From a PR perspective, the strength was in its authenticity. Every engagement felt genuine, with a clear philanthropic thread running through it. I’ve always said philanthropy is his safest and strongest space. It plays to his strengths without inviting controversy.”

Ms Smith claimed that the Duke’s visit very much echoed his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth’s style, who was famous for “doing good without taking sides”.

The expert explained: “In today’s climate, a royal figure staying firmly in the middle is often the smartest move, and Harry’s visit achieved that balance perfectly.”

She added that another “big win” for the royal was the tone of the trip, saying: “Nothing felt gloaty or self-congratulatory.

“Harry avoided the trap of making charity work about himself or making snarky remarks during speeches etc, he just got on with it, and that’s exactly what people want to see from him.”

Ms Smith also praised the way the royal meeting was handled but issued a warning for the imminent future.

She said: “It wasn’t dramatic, it didn’t spark gossip, and that quieter energy is exactly what he needs. If I were advising him, I’d be calling this trip a huge success, it ticked every PR box.

“Overall, this visit felt grounded, authentic and not remotely ‘influencer’. The best strategy for Harry now is slow and steady! Regular, low-key appearances that build solid foundations rather than flashy moments.

“If he can keep this up for a year or so, I’d call that a full image reset.”

A spokesman for the Duke said about the visit: “He’s obviously loved being back in the UK, catching up with old friends, colleagues and just generally being able to support the incredible work of the causes that mean so much to him.”
