A source told the Mirror at the time: “Harry was in no doubt that the party should be postponed, even though 30 is an important milestone.
“Kate had been very involved in organising Harry’s party, and once she fell ill he felt it wrong to let the event go ahead.”
Vanity Fair later claimed that the party did go ahead at a later date. The party was also held at Clarence House instead of Kensington Palace, with King Charles even sending champagne for guests to enjoy.
Kate, 43, and Harry previously shared a close bond, with him also previously referring to her as “the sister I never had and always wanted”.
Prince Harry’s relationship with his brother and sister-in-law has taken a toll in the past few years, with the couple now said to no longer speaking to Harry.
The Duke of Sussex paid a visit to the UK last week to conduct a series of charitable engagements – with a visit also paid to King Charles.
Although he made a visit to his father, Harry did not use his visit to plan a visit to William and Kate.
