Prince Harry is reportedly “plotting a surprise” after claims that he is Meghan Markle’s “spare”. The Duke of Sussex, 40, has appeared to hide away in the background as of late while the Duchess of Sussex, 43, has seen the release a several major personal projects.

Meghan first launched her brand As Ever back in early April, with the first episode of her podcast released just days later. Meghan’s Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, also aired on Netflix in early March. The final episode of Confessions of a Female Founder was released earlier today.

According to the Mail on Sunday, Harry is seeking to find a “new purpose” amid claims that he is now his wife’s “spare”.

The publication has reported that Harry will be launching his own commercial venture in the next few months and will, at the same time, be concentrating on his Invictus Games Foundation.

A source said: “Harry is unkindly described as the ‘spare’ to Meghan’s endeavours. In reality, he has been giving her the space to flourish.

“Now it is his time to throw himself into exciting new work. Invictus will always come first, but he has also been working on commercial ideas of his own.”

This report comes shortly after he previously left a charity “gobsmacked” after a “significant” donation.

It recently emerged that Harry has thanked a community project based in Nottingham by making a “significant” donation to help fund its services.

The charity, Himmah, says the undisclosed sum will fund more than 650 much-needed food parcels for vulnerable families in the city.

Speaking of the former working royal, Sajid Mohammed, who is the director at Himmah, said: “I could not believe it when we got the email. To have been chosen by such a high-profile royal once is amazing, but to have been supported by Prince Harry, too, left us completely gobsmacked.”
