Prince Harry’s friend has said that the duke is expecting to live in California “indefinitely” despite ongoing visa rows.
The prince’s visa application has been the subject of discussions for quite some time after he revealed in his bombshell 2023 memoir Spare that he used to take a number of drugs.
This was met with anger by think-tank The Heritage Foundation, which suggested the duke may have been treated differently to ordinary citizens and perhaps his application should not have been approved when he first moved to the US in 2020 after quitting life as a senior Royal with his wife Meghan Markle.
Concerns about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s remaining in the US have now been raised once again after Donald Trump won the US [presidential election this week, with the President-elect previously saying that he would not protect Prince Harry’s right to stay in the country if it turned out he had not been truthful on his visa application.
The President had also previously spoken negatively about the couple, declaring that he was not a “fan” of Meghan Markle, 43, and that the pair had disrespected the late Queen.
The couple spoke about the need to protect children in an increasingly digital world, with the clip being shown at the inaugural Global Ministerial Conference on Violence Against Children in Colombia.
Neither Harry or Meghan mentioned the recent US election or made any comment about Donald Trump in the short clip, which saw both the duke and duchess wearing poppies ahead of Remembrance Day in the UK.
They also made no comment on their views throughout the election campaign, instead deciding to avoid publicly speaking about either candidate.
