Prince Harry chooses to wear wedding ring unlike brother William in another rule break

Prince Harry loves to be different from his Royal family, and he showed this when he picked out a wedding ring.

Unlike his big brother Prince William and his dad King Charles, Harry wanted to wear a special ring after marrying Meghan Markle.

Harry, who is 39-years-old, and Meghan, who is 42, often do things their own way. When Harry got married in 2018, he chose a shiny silver ring that he has worn ever since.

Even though Harry and his 41-year-old brother William don’t always agree, people are really interested in why they choose to wear or not wear rings.

Prince William, who got married to the Princess Kate in 2011, has never worn a wedding ring.

Prince Harry, on the other hand, was keen to wear a ring – but he wanted it to be just right for him.

The Duke broke with Royal tradition for his wedding band, choosing a modern platinum design instead of the traditional Welsh gold typically worn by his family.

His choice surprised some, but for today’s royals, picking rings is more about personal taste than tradition.

Reports suggest that Harry wanted a more contemporary and sleek design for this special piece of jewellery.

Like the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex, King Charles’ wedding ring is made from the traditional Royal Welsh gold.

But the 75-year-old clearly wanted to do things his own way – unusually wearing his band on his little finger, next to his cherished signet ring.
