Prince Harry cast aside as Meghan Markle woos her camera crew in Canada: 'It's her show'

Meghan Markle has stolen the spotlight and left Prince Harry trying “to get his wife’s eye attention” while the couple hit the slopes on Valentine’s Day, a body language expert exclusively told Daily Express US.

The couple flew to Canada to prepare for the launch of the first edition of the Winter Invictus Games – but it’s Meghan who was really centre stage, body language expert Judi James claimed.

She said: “There was a sense that this was pretty much ‘The Meghan Show’ as Meghan stepped out in dazzling white jeans and top, wearing an excited, motivated eye expression and a wide, symmetric smile that she aimed at the cameras and at her hosts.

“The romantic hand clasp was still very much a feature and at one point Harry seems to try to get his wife’s eye-attention by pulling the clasp closer to his torso while Meghan looks away.”

Daily Express US also understands that the Duchess of Sussex brought her own camera crew to the event in Canada where she and Prince Harry were extensively photographed.

Ms James continued: “Her signals of taking the lead her come from the way she walks out first or even seems to stride in the lead when they are together, while a much more casually-clad Harry keeps his head down and one hand in his jeans pocket.

“As Meghan walks first she even performs what looks like a gesture of endorsement and approval to the cameraman, reaching one arm out to touch him, suggesting a rapport that Harry has never really enjoyed, unless this is their own camera crew on site and she was acknowledging them.”

The upcoming Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 will feature various events including alpine skiing, snowboarding, wheelchair curling, and skeleton.

Scheduled for next February, this event continues the tradition of a multi-sport competition initiated by Harry in 2014, specifically designed for wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and women.

In one image, Prince Harry is seen testing sit skis, which will accommodate participants who utilize wheelchairs or face difficulties standing for extended durations.

Meghan, 42, donned a chic ensemble consisting of a white sweater, white trousers, and a beige coat on Wednesday, while Harry opted for a grey beanie, black coat, and jeans.

This marks their first public appearance since news of King Charles’ cancer diagnosis emerged. Prince Harry rushed back to the UK after hearing the news where he had a brief meeting with his father.

Their outing also follows closely on the heels of the launch of their new website, Sussex.com. Meghan released a statement on Article.com, the digital agency behind the design, concerning her and Harry’s new site.

She said: “There is a reason I have worked with Ryan and the talented team at Article for a decade: their attention to detail, their creativity and care, and the thoughtful approach to design as well as to the user experience.

“They’re not just designers; they are collaborators who elevate your ideas into visual identities. They’re a very special company. Plus they’re Canadian, so I’m a fan.”
