Prince Harry breaks silence on 'only spending 30 minutes with King Charles' while in UK

Prince Harry has given another bombshell TV interview and this time he’s gone into detail about King Charles’s cancer diagnosis.

Speaking to Good Morning America, the Duke of Sussex also opened up on his brief meeting with his father last week when he dashed back to the UK to see him face-to-face.

Harry said: “The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him I’m grateful for that.”

He went on to say that he loves his family and believes the cancer diagnosis could spark reconciliation for him and the rest of the family.

The Duke said: “Yeah, I’m sure. Throughout all these families I see it on a day-to-day basis the strength of the family unit coming together. I think any illness, any sickness brings families together.”

The comments were aired in a teaser-clip of the full interview, which will air at 7am Eastern Time (12pm BT).

Elsewhere in the interview he is due to talk about his life with Meghan Markle and the Invictus Games during the broadcast, to be aired on Good Morning America on Friday.

Harry, who lives in California with his wife and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, flew to the UK last week to see the King.

He dashed back to the UK last week after his father’s cancer diagnosis was made public and the pair met for about 30 minutes.

No details of their conversation have been revealed though Palace insiders said the meeting was “a cause of optimism”.

Harry returned back to Los Angeles the following day.
