A source close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appears to have distanced the couple from reports that they are helping Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz from their infamous fallout with David and Victoria Beckham. The insider has said that the feuding couple were not “directly invited” by Harry and Meghan to a party at their Montecito mansion last week.

It comes after The Sun reported that the quartet that Meghan and Nicola found “common ground” after both women were accused of wrecking their husbands’ families. The newspaper claimed that Harry offered his “unwavering support” to Brooklyn, 26, at the private dinner, which was held just days after Victoria and David’s firstborn failed to attend any of his father’s 50th birthday celebrations.

But People magazine, a US publication that Meghan recently gave an interview to, appears to contradict the report and claims the meal was for a larger group of VIPs, not just Brooklyn and Nicola.

The source told People: “Brooklyn and Nicola were invited prior to David’s numerous global birthday galas, so the timing is pure coincidence.

“While it was an intimate gathering, there were several additional guests, including VIPs and film executives.

“Brooklyn and Nicola had a wonderful time and found Harry and Meghan to be particularly kind, caring and generous.”
