Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s ‘latest agreement’ with Netflix despite deal axe | Royal | News

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly come to a new agreement with Netflix, it has been claimed. The couple, who stepped down as senior working royals in 2020, signed a five-year multi-million-pound deal shortly after their exit from royal duties.

According to a royal expert, the couple are being treated like the “biggest stars” associated with Netflix. Brand expert Nick Ede has now told HELLO! that Meghan and Harry have agreed on a “first look” deal with Netflix – which means that the company will have the opportunity to snap up any future projects that the couple produce ahead of rival streaming platforms.

The expert said: “The first look deal is something that many channels offer the biggest stars and I’m sure Netflix won’t want to lose their relationship with the pair as they have brought viewers, subscribers and column inches to the platform.

“Although some of their shows have failed to ignite the interest they originally had, they are still box office when it comes to publicity.”

Whilst the couple’s debut project with Netflix – a docuseries titled Harry & Meghan – remains the streaming service’s biggest success, the couple’s other productions – such as Heart of Invictus and Polo – have failed to generate significant audience interest.

The streaming giant is not expected to release a statement officially announcing the end of their partnership with Harry and Meghan, with the couple also not expected to address the end of the deal.

The second series of Meghan’s show ‘With Love, Meghan’ will still be released on Netflix later this year.

Meghan’s lifestyle and cooking series failed to secure a place amongst Netflix’s 300 most-watched shows for the first half of 2025.

The series attracted just 5.3 million views, placing it at number 383 on the streaming platform’s rankings.

Speaking of the end of their deal, a source told The Sun: “There’s no animosity from either side. Things have just run their course.”
