Prince Harry and Meghan Markle warned of incoming 'disaster' this Christmas

She also suggested that Prince Harry might find it difficult to be around his brother, Prince William, because of their ongoing feud. “I think that Christmas offers two options, we can use it as a time for forgiveness and building bridges, or to dig up resentments and so the key is really being intentional about it,” she said.

She went on to say: “Sweeping issues under the carpet and then hoping for the best is usually a disaster, and this would certainly be the case between Harry and William, given their recent disagreements.” Relationship expert Louella Alderson agrees with Kate’s thoughts.

Louella said: “It would likely be difficult for Harry to be around his brother, Prince William, after their strained relationship, especially during a holiday gathering. There appear to still be unresolved issues and hurt feelings between the two brothers that could make it challenging for them to spend time together in a festive setting.”

“New rumours and information are continually coming out about their difficult relationship, which is likely adding fuel to the fire and making it more challenging for them to reconcile. It may take time and effort on both sides for their relationship to heal, but it’s certainly possible in the future if they are willing to work through their issues.”

Louella revealed that Princes Harry and William might be feeling “hurt” and a “a sense of betrayal from each other”. She explained: “This would make it difficult for them to be in the same room without tension or conflict. These types of wounds need time to heal, and it’s understandable that they may not be ready to face each other just yet. Christmas is a time for family and joy, and it may be best for both Prince Harry and Prince William to spend the holiday season apart in order to focus on their own healing and well-being.”

She also suggested that the Royal Family might not warmly welcome Meghan and Harry due to “the continued scrutiny and criticism Meghan and Harry have directed towards them.” Both experts recommended the couple should celebrate Christmas in America.

Kate expressed that Meghan might find a UK Christmas tough because of her strained relations with her extended family. Kate advised: “My advice would be to just have a small and cosy Christmas with her hubby and the kids at home!”

Louella added: “Meghan’s relationship with the Royals could be beyond repair for both sides to come together at any time in the near future, especially during the Christmas season.” She hinted that both parties “may need more time and space” before they reunite.

Louella expressed: “Christmas doesn’t feel like the right time for either party to try and reconcile or mend their relationship, as it feels like a lot of work and healing needs to be done to lay the groundwork for real progress can be made. It’s important for both parties to prioritise their emotional well-being and do what is best for themselves during this holiday season.”

She also suggested that if Meghan and Harry were thinking about returning to the UK, they should “weigh up the pros and cons”. She added: “Things can change in the future if both sides are willing to work towards reconciliation and understanding. But for now, it seems that Meghan and Harry will likely be spending Christmas elsewhere, surrounded by supportive friends and family who have been there for them throughout their journey.”
