Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be getting a new Hollywood A-list neighbour at their rumoured European holiday home, it has been reported. While The Duke and Duchess of Sussex live in Montecito, California, all-year-round, it was reported last year that they had purchased a holiday home in Portugal.
Just a short flight from the UK, Harry’s home country, it is believed the couple snapped up the home to enjoy with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. However, it now turns out that they may not be the most famous faces in the area.
This is because it has been reported that Nicole Kidman, who has split from her husband Keith Urban, has been looking at a property in the luxury Portugal development where Meghan and Harry reportedly own a home.
This development is the highly sought-after Costaterra Gold and Ocean Club.
The Daily Mail has reported that the actress, 58, has lodged an application with Portugal’s immigration agency.
The publication also reports that if she does in fact buy a home in the Costaterra Gold and Ocean Club complex, she will be joined by various A-listers, including George Clooney and Paris Hilton, as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Although the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have refrained from commenting, the paper has said that the couple are rumoured to own a £3.5 million ($4.7 million) property in the complex.
It is believed this is a holiday home for the couple, who quit royal life in the UK and relocated to America five years ago.
It is also believed that Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie owns a home in the area, and spends a significant amount of time in the sun-soaked country as a result of her husband’s job in development.
It is not known whether Eugenie’s presence in Portugal was one of the reasons why Harry and Meghan may have brought a holiday home in the area last year.
