Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are known to have accumulated numerous nicknames across the years – but have received two new brutal ones by staff at Spotify.
The pair, who are currently in Canada for this year’s Invictus Games, previously signed a deal with Spotify.
The lucrative deal later came to an end in June 2023 – with it being noted that both parties “mutually agreed to part ways”.
According to UK royal correspondent Neil Sean, Meghan was given the nickname of ‘Eva’ by staff whilst she was working on her podcast series, Archetypes.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Mr Sean explained to Fox News: “This wasn’t an engaging pet nickname. The nickname came from the 1955 camp classic ‘Queen Bee’ starring the ultimate diva herself – Joan Crawford…
“This is because, like the Joan character [Eva Phillips], she stung her victims to pieces. This is exactly how staff felt about working alongside [Meghan].”
According to Turner Classic Movies, the film is about a ‘manipulative’ socialite who “sets out to destroy the lives of all those around her”.
Harry didn’t get away lightly and also reportedly received a nickname from staff. The 40-year-old becoming covertly dubbed “Tim Nice But Dim”. This brutal nickname referred to a character created in the 1990s by British comedy legend Harry Enfield.
The character of Tim, known for his amiable but clueless personality, was supposed to represent “low attainers from an affluent background’ and had the catchphrase “bloody nice bloke!”
