Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix deal comes to an end next year, and the question on everyone’s mind is whether or not it’s going to be renewed.
And that’s just what Richard Eden talks about on this week’s edition of Palace Confidential, saying, “It’s emerged, that a senior Netflix executive has been talking about the whole bunch of programs, which Harry and Meghan are meant to have lined up, but he used the phrase, “very early development,” which, to be honest, sets alarm bells ringing.”
Eden points out, Harry and Meghan must decide whether or not they’re going to “make programs about other people” or make programs about themselves and “give more royal gossip.”
Whether it’s Netflix or another big company, they are going to continue to “face that same dilemma,” says Eden.

Eden discusses the different avenues the Sussexes can go down, saying, “Do they continue to try and make programs about other people — which they don’t have experience of, and frankly, there seems to be little interest — or do they make more programs like their tawdry reality show, or docudrama as they call it, about Harry and Meghan, and give more about themselves, and give more royal gossip.”
There is a third option, of course, they don’t have to pursue media and can focus their attention on other matters, like speaking engagements and business ventures, but entertainment does seem to be where their interests lie, at least for the moment.
Harry and Meghan have been very quiet the past few months and all of sudden this week there has been quite a bit of activity with the Netflix annnouncement and The Sussexes releasing a statement via their Archewell website giving praise to the US Senate for addressing children’s safety on the internet.
