Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis appeared in a new video which was released by Kensington Palace on Tuesday. The video, which was filmed in Norfolk earlier this year, was shared to mark George’s 12th birthday on Tuesday.
In the clip, the three siblings can be seen walking hand-in-hand and giggling together. One sweet moment also shows George, 12, and Charlotte, 10, lift their younger brother Louis, seven, in the air.
While many fans have always correctly assumed over the years that the sibling trio have a close bond, one body language expert has now said that this video is even more “telling”.
Reflecting on the video, body language expert Judi James said that the clip shows how George and Charlotte are like “any other children” away from the royal stage, and have a “strong desire” to protect Prince Louis.
Judi told the Mirror: “We now see both George and Charlotte looking formal and impeccably behaved at royal events, but these glimpses of play show us they are like any other children behind the scenes.
“By picking little Louis up, older siblings Charlotte and George are flexing their age-dominance in the family pecking order, showing they can still make the often-cheeky Louis helpless when they want to, as they all laugh together.
“But by carrying him between them, they also show their strong desire to protect and support their little brother, too.”
At royal events, both George and Charlotte are known to help keep an eye on Louis, along with their parents Prince William and Princess Kate.
At Trooping the Colour last month, George could be seen telling Louis to stop when he kept waving from the Buckingham Palace balcony just before the Red Arrows flypast.
Princess Charlotte has also in the past been known to keep Louis in check, having once instructed him on how to stand while the national anthem played.
