Prince Andrew’s pals have given a very telling statement regarding his stance on a new bombshell book about him and his family that is set to be released this week. Entitled: The Rise And Fall Of The House Of York by Andrew Lownie will hit the shelves on Thursday, bringing various shocking claims about the family into the spotlight.

Some of the allegations against the Yorks include their handling of their finances, the Duke’s sex life and sexual preferences, his alleged behaviour towards staff and relationship with other members of the Royal Family. Buckingham Palace has not commented on any of the claims shared online after parts of the book were serialised, as the Duke is no longer a working member of the Royal Family. Andrew’s team has also declined to comment.

Now, a new report cites sources who have opened up about how Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, who is also mentioned in the book, are reacting to the new book.

One pal told the Daily Beast: “It would be totally inaccurate to say they are devastated or heartbroken by the book, or any of this c***.

“There are absolutely no new revelations—it’s just a rehash of things already said brought together in one place. The family used to wonder when this would ever end; now they know it never will. It’s just, the tide comes in and the tide goes out.”

A source close to Fergie, as she is affectionately known, said the family have been “pilloried and bullied” by the British press for years and are “well used to it by now”.

Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, also mentioned in the book, were dubbed “innocent victims” and “collateral damage” by other sources who praised them, saying that all they have done is “stand by their parents in the most horrifically public circumstances.

“I don’t think it’s fair to criticise them for that.”

They added: “They’re sweet girls who understand that they are immensely privileged and have always been grateful for the privilege they’ve had and have tried to use it to do the right thing.

“They were told to get jobs by the Firm, and they did that, so it seems unfair to attack them for making money.”
