A new bombshell book claims Prince Andrew allegedly made a blunt statement about the possibility of ever remarrying his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. The Duke and Duchess of York married in July 1986 but separated in 1992, finalising their divorce in April 1996.
Reports at the time hinted that their marriage breakdown was partly influenced by Andrew’s absence due to his duties as a naval officer. Despite their divorce, Andrew and Fergie, as she is affectionately known, still reside at the Royal Lodge in Windsor and retain a very close bond.
Now, a new bombshell book about Prince Andrew, set to be released on August 14, has made various explosive claims about the Duke, including one that allegedly reveals his true feelings about any chances of remarriage with Fergie.
Andrew Lownie’s Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York has been serialised by the Daily Mail recently.
According to the latest serialised segment, the book claims that Andrew “needs someone who can navigate his life for him” and, since his fall from grace due to his links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, his former wife has proved to be his “most loyal supporter”.
One of the royal’s friends claims that Andrew allegedly said of remarriage: “Given Sarah’s weaknesses, she wouldn’t make an appropriate royal any more.”
Another friend of the duke told the author: “Andrew is nothing without a woman. He’s sweet, but also rather clunky and gauche. He needs someone who can navigate his life for him.”
Meanwhile, a former courter explained that while there was no romance between Andrew and Fergie, it was more like “the deepest form of friendship, a very unusual relationship for a divorced couple, especially to the outside world, but they’re utterly devoted and would defend each other to the death.”
