Prince Andrew deliberately 'pushed himself to the front' to lead royals at Windsor service

Prince Andrew “pushed his way to the front” of the Royal Family at the memorial service for King Constantine of Greece, a former senior aide to the late Queen Elizabeth has claimed.

The Duke of York made headlines earlier this week after he was pictured leading the royals to church for the thanksgiving service for the last king of Greece.

Now former longstanding press secretary to Queen Elizabeth, Dickie Arbiter, has come out and claimed that Andrew “deliberately” placed himself in the limelight during the Firm’s recent outing.

He told True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat: “Short of handcuffing, and pulling him back and holding him back, he would just steamroll his way through.

“He would have set the pace, the family gathered in Engine Court before walking down.

“He would have pushed himself to the front and everyone would have followed.”

Meanwhile, a royal source claimed Andrew’s latest appearance next to his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson and their daughter, Princess Beatrice signified that “the Yorks are firmly back in the fold”.

During the service, Andrew was pictured sitting in the front row just five seats away from Queen Camilla, whereas Fergie, as she is known to friends and family, sat in the row behind joined by Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Princess Eugenie, the pair’s youngest daughter, was notably absent.

The duke is no longer a working royal due to his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Fergie and Beatrice are not working royals either, however, they do attend certain family events, as they did on Christmas Day last year, when they joined Andrew and the rest of the royals in Sandringham.

The source told the Mail: “There’s a feeling that no matter what Sarah’s personal faults – and she can be like Marmite in that respect – she has been a good mother to the girls and loyal to Andrew.”
