Prince Andrew at centre of row as Trump aide discusses ‘prosecution’ | Royal | News

Republican, Nancy Mace, has calling for the criminal prosecution of Prince Andrew in the wake of ongoing protests from Jeffrey Epstein’s victims. The disgraced royal was a known acquaintance of the late sex offender and settled a civil case brought against him by one of Epstein’s victims.

South Carolina politician Nancy Mace is calling for renewed scrutiny of Prince Andrew’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein amid ongoing protests demanding the full release of the late sex offender’s files. Pressure has been growing from President Donald Trump’s own supporters and from voices within his own Republican Party for more transparency on what the investigations into Epstein uncovered.

She penned on X: “Now seems like a good time to discuss prosecuting Prince Andrew for any and all potential crimes on US soil.” In an additional post, she added: “A cold dark cell. Prince Andrew in handcuffs. Sends the right message.”

In a follow-up tweet, Mace hinted at why she was calling for his criminal prosecution, saying it would help victims of Epstein heal. “Seems like the right next step (after we release the files),” she posted. “Perhaps we can focus on prosecuting predators next. Let victims, survivors, and the country heal.”

Mace’s comments came just days after she walked out of an oversight committee meeting with Epstein’s victims and images showed her leaving the room and refusing to answer questions from reporters in the hallway.

She is also among the many politicians demanding the full release of the Epstein files, in a push for transparency.

As reported by The Sun, the US politician said: “Since it’s already being reported – yes I left the Oversight briefing with Epstein victims early. As a recent survivor (not two years in), I had a very difficult time listening to their stories. Full blown panic attack. Sweating. Hyperventilating. Shaking. I can’t breathe.

“I feel the immense pain of how hard all victims are fighting for themselves because we know absolutely no one will fight for us. God bless all survivors.”

Prince Andrew took a blow after his notorious BBC Newsnight interview in 2019 discussing his association with Epstein. This high-profile debacle led to the late Queen removing his military titles and patronages in 2022, consequently, he is no longer permitted to use ‘His Royal Highness’ or HRH in any formal sense.

Virginia Giuffre alleged that Epstein and Maxwell trafficked her to Prince Andrew when she was 17. The prince, who has denied all claims against him, reached an out-of-court settlement with her in 2022.

Tragically, this year, Virginia was found unresponsive at her remote farmhouse in April after taking her own life.
