Prince Andrew and Prince Harry have reportedly been given a brutal nickname by staff at Buckingham Palace.
It comes as King Charles is reportedly locked in an argument over his younger brother Andrew over his future at Royal Lodge.
Andrew, 64, has also found himself at the centre of controversies relating to his connections with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein and a Chinese businessman banned from the UK after being accused of being a spy.
It prompted Andrew to miss the Royal Family’s traditional stay at Sandringham over the Christmas period.
Tensions between Harry and his family meanwhile are said to have escalated after the Duke of Sussex quit life as a working royal and moved to the USA with Meghan Markle.
After moving to the US, Harry released his explosive memoir Spare and gave high-profile TV interviews in which he spoke about his family.
According to The Times Royal Correspondent Kate Mansey, it has led to both Harry and Andrew being given the same nickname by royal courtiers.
On Times Radio’s The Royals with Roya and Kate, she said: “I did a kind of wrap up in the Times magazine at the end of last year in which a couple of people actually mentioned him and Harry to me as being known as the Dukes of Hazard.
“As the two difficult dukes who are problems for the king, but perhaps Andrew more so.”
Both Andrew and Harry are not working members of the Royal Family. And it is understood the King himself does not want to do anything to hinder family relations.A source previously told The Times: “His Majesty does not want to exacerbate family tensions further. By nature, he is a unifier, not a divider.”
Mansey however questioned whether the Duke of York would face increased public scrutiny this year. Harry and Meghan meanwhile have continued to pursue opportunities away from the Royal Family.
Meghan was set to release her latest Netflix programme, With Love From Meghan, this week but the series has been pushed back to the huge wildfires sweeping across California. At least 24 people are said to have been killed in the fires with hundreds of thousands of people evacuated.
The show, the latest in the Sussexes deal with Netflix, which includes Harry and Meghan, Invictus and Polo, will now air in March.
