A young Michigan prep school teacher has admitted having sex with a student she was tutoring at his home — a “disgusting” act she even filmed, calling it “not my best thinking.”

Jocelyn Sanroman, now 27, of Pontiac, was sentenced to four to 15 years in prison on Tuesday after earlier pleading guilty to third-degree sexual conduct, FOX 2 Detroit reported.

She was arrested after letting slip to a colleague nearly a year ago that she’d had sex with a 16-year-old male student she was tutoring in 2023, when she was also teaching at Oakside Prep Academy in Waterford Township.

She was sentenced after Judge Cheryl Matthews expressed astonishment that she would film the illegal act.

“This is serious risk-taking behavior, taking advantage of a minor and videotaping. You’re having sex with a minor at his home, right? And it’s just disgusting,” the judge said.

“What do you have to say? What were you thinking?” the judge asked Sanroman.

“Not my best thinking,” the disgraced educator replied, flippantly.

Her attorney told the judge that unaddressed mental health issues were behind her sick actions.

“She made a tremendous error of judgment here,” the attorney said. “She’s working forward and trying to do her best to become a better person.”

The victim’s mother slammed Sanroman for the damage she did to her son.

“I have watched my son change. He has become withdrawn and avoids people because of the fear and attention the situation has created,” the mom wrote in a statement read out by the prosecutor.

“I had pulled him out of school to place him into online schooling,” the statement continued. “His normal life, his education, his routine, and his sense of security was taken.”

Sanroman will be placed on the Michigan sex offender registry for life when released.
