A popular American homeware brand is set to launch in the UK soon.

Pottery Barn, the go-to destination for chic furniture and home decor, has revealed its strategy to roll out a UK-centric webstore.

The digital shopfront will showcase a curated selection of Pottery Barn’s offerings, complemented by tailored interior design consultation services for those in need of artistic direction. Spanning over 60 countries, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Australia, Pottery Barn operates under the Williams-Sonoma brand, which also encompasses the popular furniture outlet West Elm, reports the Mirror.

The brand often finds itself compared to Swedish furniture titan Ikea. A user on an internet forum remarked: “You get what you pay for at IKEA, sometimes they’ll have some of the nicer sofas at right around the same price as everyone else. Generally though, Pottery Barn Items are much much higher quality.”

Laura Alber, president and CEO of Williams-Sonoma, expressed: “We are committed to long-term growth and expanding the reach of our brands where we see meaningful market opportunity.

“We believe great design and quality craftsmanship have universal appeal and we look forward to bringing Pottery Barn’s signature aesthetic to the UK.”

Pottery Barn president Monica Bhargava remarked: “Whether furnishing a new flat, refreshing a family home, or entertaining with family and friends or thoughtful gifting, we are proud to be providing the UK market with thoughtfully designed pieces that meet the needs of modern living.”

Other American brands making waves in the UK.

It’s not just Pottery Barn moving into the UK. Slim Chickens, often hailed as “better than KFC”, is set to ruffle feathers with plans to open 16 more eateries throughout the UK by 2025.

Originating from Arkansas in 2003, Slim Chickens prides itself on its Southern-style chicken tenders and wings. The chain launched its first UK branch in 2018 and now boasts over 70 locations nationwide, while it has over 200 across the US.

Slim Chickens’ menu includes buttermilk-marinated chicken tenders, wings, boneless bites, sandwiches, salads, wraps, fries, and an array of 14 signature sauces.

These sauces range from blue cheese to buffalo, cayenne ranch, gravy mayo, honey mustard, Korean BBQ, Slim Sauce, and a temporary”Unknown”

The brand has garnered social media acclaim over the years. An Instagram user exclaimed the food “looks phenomenal”, and a Reddit user expressed their preference for Slim Chickens over KFC.

On X, a satisfied customer said: “Slim Chickens is the best chicken place I have ever been to and it’s not even close..”

Another added: “What is the best fried chicken franchise and why is it Slim Chickens?”. A third person said: “Slim chickens is much better if you want good chicken, better than both KFC and Popeyes imo.”
