The OMODA E5 starts at just £25,995 for the base Comfort trim, rising to £28,995 for the top-of-the-range Noble trim.
Official pricing for the Range Rover Electric has yet to be formally unveiled, but industry experts have previously tipped the model to have a price tag of around £130,000.
It will almost certainly be more expensive than the latest Range Rover model where prices start at over £100,000. It means OMODA could be around £75,000 to £100,000 cheaper than a new fully EV Range Rover machine, which is certain to turn buyers heads.
Although visually similar, the OMODA E5 does however have some performance limitations compared to Range Rover models
The E5 has a stop speed of just 107mph compared to top end Range Rover machines which can hit 180mph.
Chris Clayton, Head of Fleet for OMODA JAECOO UK, revealed the company were thrilled with the demand for models across the country.
He said: “It proves that UK drivers are ready to embrace something new – and they’re responding to the E5’s combination of bold design, advanced technology and ethos of premium without the price premium.”
The competition looks set to heat up in 2025 with the Chinese marque launching their OMODA 9 SHS Plug-In Hybrid. Land Rover has opened up enquiries around their new Electric Range Rover with interested customers able to join a waiting list.
